Biovelop Background

Biovelops development of cereal crop fractionation techniques stem from the need to improve the value of cereal crops.

The market requirement for non-GMO, high fibre food ingredients led Biovelop to concentrate on the aleurone and sub-aleurone layer of the oat, which contains the beta glucan portion of the oat grain. It became Biovelops focus to extract the beta glucan, and in particular to attempt to extract a beta glucan devoid of the oats grainy structure.

Many years of R&D in the extraction process led Biovelop to finalize the patented production process which produces PromOat™.
